With more than 30 years of experience across nonprofit behavioral health, healthcare, corporate finance, and public service, he brings deep expertise in navigating organizational growth, operational integration, and periods of change. Prior to joining McKinley, he served as CFO at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, Assistant Vice President of Accounting and Finance at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, and held consulting roles supporting both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Earlier leadership positions in banking, credit, and waste management further shaped his disciplined approach to financial oversight and systems improvement. At McKinley, his experience has supported the stabilization of key operations, enhancements in forecasting and reporting, and stronger decision-making frameworks during organizational evolution.
He leads through McKinley’s HUMAN values by creating a culture that is hopeful in vision, understanding in collaboration, moral in decision-making, and nurturing toward staff and the communities served. His approach to partnership, particularly in contexts of merger or integration, emphasizes clarity, accountability, and respect for organizational identity. He prioritizes supporting teams through change, protecting continuity of care, and ensuring that transitions create stability and opportunity. His accomplishments at McKinley include strengthening financial infrastructure to better align resources with mission impact and implementing automation and workflow improvements that increased accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Grounded in a lifelong commitment to service, from his early years in the U.S. Army repairing rotary and fixed-wing aircraft to his current volunteer role as a Platoon Sergeant in the California State Guard, he brings steadiness, discipline, and a mission-first mindset to leadership. Outside of work, he remains active in veteran and community organizations, which reinforces his values of teamwork, integrity, and purpose.
