Chris Murray is the Senior Vice President of Administration at McKinley, where he has been a key leader for over a decade. He oversees Human Resources, Training, Facilities, and IT, and is deeply committed to supporting the infrastructure and culture that allow McKinley to thrive. Since joining McKinley as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2015, Chris has played an instrumental role in the organization’s growth and evolution. His leadership has been pivotal in scaling operations while maintaining a focus on employee well-being and fostering a strong organizational culture.

Prior to McKinley, Chris spent 27 years at a similar agency, where he began as a Child Care Worker and eventually became the Vice President of Human Resources. During his tenure, he successfully navigated a significant organizational merger, contributing to the integration of people, systems, and culture. This experience shaped his leadership philosophy, emphasizing the importance of supporting staff through change, honoring the organization’s core identity, and fostering a unified culture during periods of transition.

At McKinley, Chris’s focus on building a people-centered organization has been a driving force behind its success. Under his leadership, McKinley has experienced substantial growth, made possible by a dedicated team and a strong organizational infrastructure. Chris holds both a BA and an MA in Organizational Management from Azusa Pacific University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his five adult children and his wife, a therapist, who also enjoys hiking and visiting National Parks.
