A Healing Environment for Every Child

McKinley’s residential campus is designed to feel like home. As part of our Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), our cottages, classrooms, and recreational spaces create a safe and welcoming environment where boys can focus on healing, learning, and building positive relationships.

Home-Like Cottages

Each boy in our program lives in a cottage designed to feel like family. With up to eight residents per cottage, children have their own space while also being part of a supportive group environment. Cottages are age-based—providing younger and older boys with developmentally appropriate care and community.

Younger Boy Cottage (ages 8–12)

Provides structure, nurturing routines, and developmentally appropriate activities to help younger residents feel secure and supported.

Older Boy Cottage (ages 13–17)

Fosters independence, responsibility, and peer connections in a safe environment that prepares teens for their next stage of growth.
