Individual Therapy
One-on-one sessions with the clinical team help youth develop coping skills, process emotions, and work through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or behavioral issues.
Family Therapy
Family therapy supports healthier communication, connection, and shared problem-solving, especially during major transitions or times of stress.
Group Therapy
Group therapy provides a safe environment for youth to connect with peers, practice social-emotional skills, and feel less alone in what they’re facing.
Comprehensive Assessments and Support Services
Psychiatric Consultations
Licensed psychiatrists review presenting problems, current medications, psychiatric history, and behaviors to recommend next steps in care.
Medication Support
Includes evaluations for medication needs and collaborative discussions with caregivers about treatment options, risks, and benefits. All services are delivered in partnership with families—ensuring caregivers are informed, involved, and supported at every step.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
A research-supported model for helping youth process trauma and build resilience through trauma-sensitive cognitive behavioral strategies.
Seeking Safety
An integrated model that helps clients manage trauma, substance use, and other high-stress situations.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS)
One-to-one short-term support for youth with high needs. This intensive service helps children who are not progressing in traditional settings by focusing on behavior change and functional skills.
Who Can Receive Services?
McKinley’s community-based services are available to youth from infancy through age 21. We work with families throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange Counties. Clients may be referred by schools, healthcare providers, or county agencies, and self-referrals are also welcome.

Therapy is offered at our community mental health clinics and school-based locations throughout Southern California. Depending on need and location, telehealth options may also be available.
